Hand-written letters have a personal touch to them and are collectable, while digital communication certainly is not! World Letter Writing Day was established by Richard Simpkin as a tribute to the excitement he felt while receiving a hand-written letter in his mailbox. Such an appreciation came about because of a project – “Australian Legends” he was working on.
Writing a letter is all about the effort you put in! It makes the receiver feel special and makes them want to treasure handwritten letters for years to come. Unlike other means of communication, written letters make you think before you write, and you take pride in writing letters with fewer to no mistakes. With the addition of elements like perfume, room odour, flower petals, paper, and ink, hand-written letters give a personalized touch and are worth treasuring.
