CARPE DIEM DAY

New heights. Quenching the thirst of curiosity. Re-modeling the way of life. New notions, newer meanings.

Let’s take a breath here. Humans – more often than not, happen to create their own problems. This is probably why problem-solving might be one of the most necessary skills one must possess! Jokes aside, we know that our intellect is what sets us apart from other species.

Our recent obsession with “hustle culture” has put us in a state of constant perusal of the next big thing, the level up.

There’s a common misunderstanding with the statement. We often take it as an articulated version of saying “you only live once” – thanks to pop culture and maybe dead poet’s society’s aggression! But its real meaning lies in the fact that one must enjoy life for all that it is & offers to us and should stop to admire and appreciate the same once in while. That being said, here’s a little backstory of how Carpe Diem came out to be.

The friends and family of Yvette Francino established the Carpe Diem Day. It’s a Latin proverb that means “pluck the day/seize the day” and is drawn from the first book of Horace’s Odes. The ode asserts that the future is unpredictable and that instead of leaving future events to chance, one should do everything possible today to improve one’s future.
